Mari has been an educator for over 30 years.
Her certification areas include Gifted Education, Math Education and Administration.
Currently, Mari is a Support Service District Liaison for International Teachers Alliance (ITA),a J1 Teacher Agency under International Group Alliance, USA. She also teaches gifted and computer classes at a charter school in Queen Creek, AZ.
For many years, she has been one of the few ADE Trainor of Trainors (TOT) for Common Core Math. She has also been a Master Teacher-Trainer for Intel Teach Core Essential Course since 2000 and a Maricopa County Teacher Leader for Math, Science & Technology Integration.
Since 2011, she volunteers as NASA Solar System Ambassador, and NASA Heliophysics Education Ambassador for Arizona. Mari is very active in her community having organized 2 clubs in Eastmark community. Recently, she was appointed as one of the two representatives for the SRP Customer Utility Panel for District 6.
Mari has also developed AIMS test for Middle School Math in the past few years, and part of the AZ Educational Technology Committee. She is also a National Geographic JASON Project Curriculum Reviewer for both Tectonic Fury & Terminal Velocity courses. She is an online facilitator for the AZ Teach 21 Course with ASSET-IDEAL.
She had been presenting at major professional conferences: National NSTA Conference (2010-2011-2012-2013) for the last 4 years, Math Conferences: AATM & NCTM, 2011-2014, AAGT Gifted Conference 2013, and AzTEA WOW 09, among others. She also co-author two publications by ASU, under it's PRIME program on AMP-Pro, an App Development Program.
She loves spending time with her family as they like to go on road trips, hiking, camping, and stargazing.
